Zoya Raynes, President

Zoya Raynes is the Global Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at Amber Capital, having served in a similar capacity at CCP.  Prior to CCP, Ms. Raynes was a senior member of the Capital Introduction team at Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns.  Ms. Raynes began her career in the Salomon Smith Barney Sales & Trading Analyst program upon her graduation with honors from Drexel University.

Outside of the office, in addition to her responsibilities as President of JCF, Ms. Raynes is very active in the nonprofit and philanthropic community and serves on the board of directors of the following organizations: Jewish Community Relations Council, Council of Young Jewish Presidents, Jewish Heritage Program, UJA NY’s Investment Management Division, Hadassah’s National External Advisory Committee. She is also a 2012 Wexner Heritage Program Fellow and was named to the Jewish Week’s inaugural “36 Under 36” list in 2008.  Ms. Raynes was born in Kiev and immigrated to the U.S. with her family in 1979. Ms. Raynes is married to Robert Friedman and together they are the proud parents of Avi and Samuel Friedman.


David Z. Solomon, Chair, Executive Committee

David Z. Solomon is the Head of Business Development for Goldman Sachs Investment Partners and the Goldman Sachs Private Real Estate group, where he is responsible for building and broadening the client franchise and helping shape the business strategy.  Previously, he spent 16 years as co-head of the Goldman Sachs Global Capital Introduction Group, managing a 30+ member global team that introduces Goldman Sachs hedge fund clients to endowments, foundations, pensions, consultants, sovereign wealth funds and family offices. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, David was a corporate attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, representing private investment partnerships.  He received his Masters in International Affairs from the Columbia University School of International Affairs, his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his undergraduate degree Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, from Queens College of the City University of New York.

In addition to serving as a trustee and chair of the Executive Committee of the Jewish Communal Fund, David is also a member of the Advisory Board of the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, a member of the Investment Committee of UJA-Federation and a member of the Investment Committee of the Legacy Heritage Foundation.  David co-chairs the Next Wave Sohn Investment Conference and is a member of the Sohn Foundation Grants Committee.  He is also a member of the International Affairs committee of the Managed Futures Association (MFA). David has been a guest speaker at many industry conferences and a guest lecturer at Yale Law School, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, and Columbia.  David has authored an article titled “Top 20 University Endowment Allocations to Hedge Funds and What All Hedge Fund Investors Can Learn from Them” and co-authored an article titled “Soft Dollar Issues and Recommended Best Practices.”  He was named as a member of the 2012 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds list by Institutional Investor.
